"In February 2022, approximately 13 months ago, I received a phone call from a good friend in Haiti. After the usual "what is going on and the how-are-you questions," my friend explained that a friend of her father had a container load of used medical equipment (in good condition) that he was planning to send her father. The plan was to open a small clinic near Port-au-Prince where there was no access to medical care.

"During the ten years prior, this generous donor and Pastor Bataille worked together to lift several small communities from the devastating effects of the 2010 earthquake. However, ten years later, another devastating situation of epic proportions happened.

"In August 2021, in the middle of the COVID pandemic, Tony Iannelli (this generous donor) passed away from COVID complications. His wife passed away a month later with the same complications. Their donation to these Haitian communities without access to medical care included over $100,000 worth of medical equipment. It was being stored at a clinic in Oklahoma.

"My friend asked if there was any way that our organization could help her father.

"My immediate response was 'yes, why not, how hard can that be?'"
